Training and Education on Environmental Health
Course overview:
Human interaction with the environment is inevitable. And yet these interactions can create both positive and negative effects. They can affect quality of life and years of healthy life lived. Environmental health agendas mainly focus on preventing or controlling disease, injury, and disability related to the interactions between people and their environment. Environmental issue and concerns are getting more and more attention in Ethiopia. But yet there is little awareness within the public as to how greatly it is affecting our wellbeing. Healthy environment is believed to improve quality of life. This training will give a foundation for employees of any organization an awareness, involvement and commitment in creating healthy environment throughout the course of their life and work life.

- Climate Change and Health Implications
- Waste management
- Indoor and outdoor air pollution
- Ground and surface water pollution
By the end of this session participants will be able to:
- Explain about the environmental health issues and concerns
- Enhance employee morale and motivation for compliance with the environmental policy and with the requirements
- Improve environmental performance
- Identify ways of pollution prevention
- Identify ways of resource conservation
