DELTA (Training of Trainers)
Overview:
This is a full package of Training of Trainers (ToT) course that is designed for community development workers and animators to help them acquire skills and knowledge on a range of issues that are believed to be vital in building trust among the communities where they are implementing or intending to initiate interventions. DELTA is an acronym that stands for Development Education and Leadership Teams in Action. It is a training package for Development Workers, field extension staffs and key community leaders. It is mainly aimed at introducing contemporary concepts and practice in social development in general and community development in particular. Furthermore, the training is believed to raise the levels of awareness of development actors on issues of social concern in society through stimulating a culture of critical thinking and enhancing skills necessary to facilitate social transformation.
The training is designed to impart and enhance skills that are necessary to ensure the full participation of communities and ensure the sustainability of programs after the phasing out of projects. It puts particular emphasis as to how to educate communities using an approach of adult learning, team building and issues that need to be taken into account while working in groups.

Upon successful completion of the training participants will be able to:
